ANNUAL “PHEASANT-OPEN” GOLF TOURNAMENT - We’re proud that our Tailfeather Team (Cary et al) have been members of the winning foursome for all of the last 5 consecutive tournaments. It takes place at the Mott Country Club on the day before the Pheasant “opener” each year. If you’d like to put together a team and register for the 2016 “Scramble” Tournament, please let us know?

LAND ACCESS - North Dakota Residents and Non–Residents will have Private and Federal land access, beginning Opening-Day/Saturday (Oct. 8th) but don’t forget, the season doesn’t end until Sunday January 8, 2017 …. and we’ll keep our 2 “Hunt-Houses” available until then!

2016 SEASON – According to the N.D. Game and Fish, bird #’s are down, but the “local” reports remain optimistic.  Apparently Hungarian Partridge are on the rise.

CREDIT(S) POLICY – Arriving late and/or leaving early will not result in a credit of any kind. No Exceptions!

NEWER FARMING PRACTICES – Major decreases in CRP acreage, coupled with conversion to corn production has significantly altered pheasant hunting opportunities. Of course the “opener” will always be good; but generally speaking, the hunting gradually improves as the crops are harvested. Basically, “November is the new October”. With this in mind, we’re going to do our best in keeping the main “convent” building open until at least the 2nd. Week in November, depending on demand?

LOWER RATES – Have remained the same since 2010. However we’ve actually reduced our weekly rate from $90.00 to $65.00. We still operate at a significant financial loss each year and thus very much appreciate your continued patronage …. and especially your referrals and pro-shop purchases!

DORMITORY-SUITE – $250.00 per night / 3 Rooms / Sleeps 8 / A great alternative to the “Hunt-Houses”!

HUNT-HOUSES - As you may know, our 2 houses are next door to each other. Conveniently located down the street from the main Tailfeather “convent” building, making for easy access to our pro-shop, lounge, bird-cleaning facilities, dog runs, etc. The smaller house sleeps 6 to 7 and the larger house 8 to 11 . . . . of course both are fully furnished including complete cooking facilities, and newly replaced leather sofas, etc. The flat rates range from $250.00 to $325.00 per night.  Check our website for photos and other details. These will remain available thru late December / Early January, based on demand. (Later Season Discounts May Apply!) PAY FOR 3 NIGHTS AND RECEIVE THE 4TH NIGHT FREE!

PRO-SHOP ITEMS - We stock hunting hats, shirts, a few vests & coats; shooting gloves, golf hats, etc.  We’ve always had all kinds of men’s and lady’s apparel for in and out of the field. Ask Rose and she’ll be glad to open it up for you later season “Hunt-House” guests.

BIRD-CLEANING SERVICES - Directions to the new drop–site available at our office/pro-shop.

PRIVATE LAND-ACCESS “BULLETIN BOARD” - Upon receiving payment for lodging and upon your request, we will send you a copy of our exclusive list.  This connects you to the local farmers for land access, without having to pay relatively higher commercial rates.   

MEALS - There are 3 restaurants within walking distance.
